An information systems professional with over thirty years of experience in the computer industry, experienced in all aspects of analysis, design, development, implementation, and project management. Managing the consulting group for the past 12 years and provided direct client support for all projects listed on this site. Over 30 clients since 2005 with a primary focus on SharePoint Development and Server Administration.

1996 to 1998:
Gateway Group, Lafayette, CA

As Project Manager, I managed a Windows 95 rollout for 500 workstations at the office of The City and County of San Francisco.

As Sr. Network Consultant, Developed a 32-bit application for United Airlines, Maintenance Operations Center, using Visual Basic 5.0. The application used Oracle SQL and Jet database queries to present hardware/software/network information to United Airlines technical staff. Involves creation/implementation of Netwizard database for data repository in a mixed Novell/NT/ Unix environment.

As Sr. BackOffice Consultant, I participated in a system-wide conversion of approximately 1500 users at Pacific Telesis from Windows 3.11 to Windows NT Server/Workstation 4.0. Involved in architecture/design/implementation of NT Servers, SMS Systems, and Exchange systems. Conducted migration from various mail platforms including Lotus cc:Mail, Novell GroupWise to MS Exchange for all users.

1996
Chamberlain Associates, Inc., San Mateo, CA

As Consultant, I performed quality assurance testing for the major release of a network management software package at Novell, Inc. Configured, installed and administered a multi-server NT Server-based network used in testing the package. Conducted interoperability, usability, reliability and performance testing in a heterogeneous LAN/WAN environment. Platforms included Windows for WorkGroups, Windows95, Windows NT Server 3.51, Windows NT Server 4.0, Windows NT Workstation, MS Internet Information Server, MS Sql Server, MS Exchange, MS SMS, MS WINS, and MS DHCP, Novell Netware 3.12 and 4.11. Network topology included shared and switched Ethernet, Token-Ring and FDDI. Network protocols were IPX/SPX, TCP/IP, Netbeui.

1996:
Avery Group, Palo Alto, CA

As Consultant, worked on implementing a Windows NT Server test lab for Microsoft Consulting Services at Wells Fargo Bank. Installed, configured, and tested core services desktop software for conversion of a large 1000+ Novell server environment to Windows NT Server. This includes installation of DHCP and WINS servers for TCP/IP.

1994 to 1996:
Summit Integration Group, Foster City, CA

As Manager/Sr. Consultant, worked on Client/Server applications using Informix on HP Unix, MS SQL Server on Windows NT, and Novell Networks at Wells Fargo Bank. C, C++, MS Access and Visual Basic were used for the client applications at Wells Fargo Bank. Developed a mail agent component for mail enabled applications using MS Mail on Novell, ODBC, OLE 2.0, MAPI, and BLOB technology at Wells Fargo Bank. Highly proficient in Microsoft BackOffice Products and the NT Server Platform including SMS at Wells Fargo Bank. Also participated in Network Administration and design of network architecture solutions at Wells Fargo Bank and American Express Life Assurance Company.

Familiar with Windows 95 and Microsoft Exchange. Project Manager/Architect for a multi-million dollar project of a Sales Performance System for Wells Fargo Bank involving three-tiered client/server technology. Deployment is complete with 10,000+ users on-line.

1992 to 1994:
CG Computer Services, Inc., Los Angeles and San Francisco, CA

As Sr. Project Consultant, has worked on various projects including SyBase/MS SQL Server Client/Server applications at Charles Schwab, application development in Clipper, C and C++ at Columbia Pictures and Bank of America, Novell integration and management, Project Management for application development and software implementation projects at Bank of America, and Client/Server hardware/software selection and implementation for the Legal Department at Charles Schwab.

1991 to 1992:
Litton Industries, Inc., Beverly Hills, CA

As Senior Programmer Analyst/Project Leader, has developed a full scale Electronic Mail System for DOS in Clipper 5.01, and C. The system utilizes data encryption and compression, background communications, customized data input and collection, transport of business forms and data, budgeting, planning, faxing and gateways to various communications networks.

1983 to 1991:
Security Pacific Automation Company, Los Angeles, CA

As Application Consultant, implemented a new image-based check processing system using OS/2. First of its kind in the country, this system involved application program-to-program communication. Developed a pilot project utilizing image processing, artificial intelligence and workflow management in a local area network environment.

Functioned as Project Leader and Lead Technical Programmer in the development of multi-user applications on Novell Networks using Clipper.

Designed, coded and implemented a security module for a transaction intensive application using C. Major aspects included user-id and password management; security administrator functions; electronic signature blocks of data; verification and authentication of data; compliance with stringent encryption requirements.

Analyzed, designed, developed, coded, tested and supported financial applications for a variety of bank operations including a financial analysis reporting system for the retail banking division, and a batch credit inquiry system for the commercial loan department. Trained all users.

Automated and streamlined the return mail process, resulting in a $300,000 per year savings in postage and labor costs.

As Assistant Vice President, conducted physical and data security reviews for various types of computers. Determined the sensitivity of the data and the applications process. Identified exposures, recommended cost-effective improvements and implemented procedures. Developed several information systems security publications and a security presentation aimed at raising employee awareness.

1982 to 1983:
Home Savings of America, Los Angeles, CA

As Senior EDP Auditor, conducted audits of the Data Center and related development and system areas. Performed general controls review in conjunction with the external auditors' year-end audit.

1980 to 1982:
Lloyd's Bank California, Los Angeles, CA

As Senior Inspector of the Audit Department, supervised operational, application and systems audits for up to six staff auditors. Participated in the design and development of computer assisted audit techniques.

1979 to 1980:
Bell and Howell, CA

As Program Aide, assisted planners with the Material Requirements Planning System.

1974 to 1979:
Automatic Data Processing

Held several positions in operations and post-sales support.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

Achieved a 3.5 GPA while attending California State University at Los Angeles, and working full-time at the same time.

INTERESTS:

Other than the sports, I exhibit a typically ‘Geek’ profile. Of course, number one is that I am interested in anything to do with new computer technology, startups, and business development. I am fully fluent in “Geek speak”. However, I have many interests in other areas including, but not limited to: martial arts, chess, astronomy, baseball (I play hardball), tennis, running, hiking, bicycling, skiing, quantum physics, philosophy, science fiction, education, training, brain theory, health, etc.
